A major event is going to happen tomorrow.
Taiwan's presidential election!

Taipei, Jan. 15 (CNA) Taiwanese voters will go to the polls Saturday to elect a new president and a new Legislature, and the results are expected later in the day.
There are just over 18.78 million eligible voters in the country's 22 cities and counties, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
It said 15,582 polling stations across the country will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and preliminary results will become available within hours of the polls closing.
看了好幾篇新聞才知道選立委在英文的說法是 elect a new Legislature 選出新的立法機構 而不是 elect new legislators
polling station: 選票站
go to the polls:

I'm sitting this one out.
sit this one out: 這次跳過、不參加
The election only happens once in four years!

I'm sitting this one out.
sit this one out: 這次跳過、不參加
- I don't want to vote because I don't like any of the candidates.
I don't want to vote because I dislike all of the candidates.(沒有候選人值得我的選票) - I don't want the candidates to get the per-vote subsidy.
(我不想要候選人拿到競選補助) - I don't have time.
The election only happens once in four years!
- Taiwan is a democratic country, and it is our right and responsibility to vote.
- I want our country to change.
- I want to make my voice heard.
行使義務: to exercise your right
so...What is your stance? Are you going to vote tomorrow? Why or why not?
Please share your opinions with me! I'd love to know your thoughts. :)
